South Island is a large island of New Zealand which is more beautiful than other places of the country. The official name of this island is Te Waiponamu which means 'the water of greenstone'. II) CHRISTCHURCH
It is a city in South Island popular for its English heritage. It is located on the east coast and is 80 minutes far away from Auckland. Christchurch is one of the most unique destination in the whole New Zealand. It has world-famous botanical gardens as the additional attractions.

Milford Sound is a fiord in the south west part of the south south which is popular for Mitre peak, rain forests and beautiful water falls. There are observatories for underwater view of marine life with the rare Coral. You can enjoy boating as well.
