South Island is a large island of New Zealand which is more beautiful than other places of the country. The official name of this island is Te Waiponamu which means 'the water of greenstone'. This island is very popular for lakes, glaciers and mountains. It is surrounded by Tasman Sea  in the west and by Pacific ocean to the south and to the east. The geo-location is 45.1527° S, 169.8926° E.

It is a town in the shores of lake Wakatipu of South Island. It is the 27th largest urban area in New Zealand and home for nearly 15800 people.  It is very popular among all international and national tourists for adventure sports. Bungee jumping at Kawarau Gorge Suspension bridge and boating at the dart rivers are major attractions of this town.

It is easily accessible by road and air but you can't use railway transportation to reach Queenstown. You can book a ticket to the Queenstown airport from your preferred vendor. The price of the air tickets may vary depending upon your vendor and the origin place.

Getting bus is very easy for Queenstown. SH6 is the primary road to connect Queenstown. We higly recommend this place for adventure tourism.

When To Visit Queenstown?
You can visit Queenstown at anytime but most tourists arrive during december and january. The Queenstown Winter Festival during winter has street parties, music and fireworks which is amusing.

The unique architectures of the New Zealand are filled in the Christchurch. This city is rising again after the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes which are the worst disasters in the nation's history.

Milford Sound is a fiord in the south west part of the south south  which is popular for Mitre peak, rain forests and beautiful water falls. There are observatories for underwater view of marine life with the rare Coral. You can enjoy boating as well.
