This district is very rich in culture. The majority of tribes are Brahmin, Chhetri, Magar, etc but all the tribes found though out the country are found in Gorkha as well. Most people follow Hinduism and very small portion follows Buddhism, Islam, Christianity etc.

This is a temple of great importance in Hindu religion. This temple is of hindu goddess Bhagwati who is the incarnation of Parvati. Thousands of pilgrims and tourists visit this temple every year from India and other countries.

This is a palace of old Nepal. Palace is of Newar fashion and has a great importance in Nepalese history.
