Pokhara is a beautiful valley located in Central-Nepal (A small country between India and China). It is one of the most popular tour destination around the world. This valley is mostly popular for the amazing scenery of Annapurna trials of the Himalayas, Fewa and Begnas lakes, monasties, etc. If you are thinking for paragliding, sky diving, or boating then Pokhara is perfect for you.

You can easily get visa for Nepal from most of the countries. Indian citizens don't even require passport to enter Nepal. You van check details for your passport here.





This city is around 200 miles away from the Capital, Kathmandu. To reach there, the most preferred mode of transportation is by Aviation. You can by tickets from any online air ticket registrars. Or you can simply use the local bus service. Reserved Taxi may also help you to reach the place. The aviation tickets may cost you around $50 - $200 (depending upon the vendors) from any airports inside the country. 

After reaching there, here are the few must visit places.

I) FEWA LAKE

     



The first place to visit in Pokhara is of course the Fewa lake, which is situated at the heart of the valley. There lies the gold of the Pokhara, the true Pokhara. Fewa is the lake of approximately 29km of radius and has a small island at the centre. There is a hindu temple named 'Tal Barahi' which contains religious and cultural importance.

From the lake, you can have view of the Annapurna trials. The trial consists of many mountains including Mt Annapurna itself which is among the ten highest peaks of the world. Beside Annapurna, Mt. kanchanjunga is another most important mountain. The scenery is heaven-like. Those mountains can even be seen on the water of the lake.

Believe me, you'll never forget this till the end of your life. You can even boat on the lake. The feeling to be at this lake is just fantastic. 

II) DEVI'S FALLS

It is also loved by many tourists. Here, the river seti vanishes into the Earth. It is a small water fall situated in Pokhara. It was named after a swiss swiss citizen Davis who was swept by the water while taking bath. You can experience a very beautiful sound of the water.

III) BEGNAS LAKE AND MAHENDRA CAVE



Begnas lake is another beautiful lake in Pokhara. This lake is situated at the corner of the valley. Among the very few popular caves in the country, Mahendra cave is also one. You can have a glance on the pictures above.

IV) BINDEYBASINI TEMPLE


It is a Hindu temple of great religious importance. Yearly, millions of tourist visit this temple to worship. Its location is also very beautiful and amazing.
